In this talk, we'll investigate how increasing entropy ensures the convergence of a normalized sum of i.i.d. variables to a Gaussian distribution. Because the Gaussian maximizes entropy across a certain class of distributions, it is a likely candidate for the limit of a sequence of distributions, monotonic in entropy. Fortunately, there are a plethora of fun and exciting details to be fleshed out.
