Harmonic maps, Energy function and Kahler potentials on Teichmuller space and beyond

Abstract: We show that the energy function of harmonic maps from a Riemannian manifold

to a surface is plurisubharmonic, and consequently we present a new way to construct Kahler metrics on Teichmuller space.

We also present how to construct Kahler metrics on quasi-fuchsian space

and other moduli space of geometric structures. This is a joint work with Wan and Zhang.
