Joe Keller receives honorary degree from Columbia

On May 21, 2014, Emeritus Professor Joe Keller received an honorary Doctor of Science degree at Columbia University.  The degree was in recognition of his lifetime of contributions to the application of mathematics in the solution of real-world problems in science and engineering, such as wave propagation in various media (relevant to radar) and many eigenvalue problems (such as in the quantum-mechanical study of  energy levels of molecules).
