Steve Trettel has been at Stanford as a Szego Asst Professor since January 2020. He completed his PhD at UC Santa Barbara in June of 2019 under the direction of Darren Long.
Steve's research interests lie in geometric structures on manifolds, as well as limits of homogeneous spaces. His main mathematical hobby is producing high quality mathematical illustrations, with current projects including raytracing in Riemannian 3-manifolds and rendering real slices of complex algebraic surfaces.
