Joseph Miller joined our department this academic year (2024-25). This Autumn Quarter, he is teaching Math 171 and in the Spring Quarter he will be teaching Math 51.

Joseph Miller completed his PhD at The University of Texas at Austin, in 2024. His main interests are focused on the mathematical aspects of both classical and quantum statistical physics. In particular, Joseph is interested in understanding how to approximate many-body dynamics by effective nonlinear PDEs such as the Boltzmann equation, the Vlasov equation, and the Schrödinger equation.
