Seven Math Majors Win 2025 Sterling Award

Seven math majors were named among the School of Humanities and Sciences’ top 25 seniors, earning the prestigious 2025 Sterling Award in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements and dedication throughout their studies.
Established in 2006, the Sterling Award is one of Stanford’s most selective honors. It is named after President J.E. Wallace Sterling, who served as the university’s president from 1949 to 1968. Under his leadership, Stanford rose to national prominence as an academic institution, thanks to his commitment to recruiting top scholars and attracting the brightest students in the country.
