Professor Richard Schoen Awarded World Laureates Association Prize for 2025

Richard Schoen, Professor Emeritus in Mathematics, was awarded the World Laureate Association (WLA) Prize for Mathematics. 

In their rationale, for choosing Professor Schoen, the committee released the following statement: "Schoen, through revolutionary theorems, resolved problems once deemed intractable, created mathematical tools that redefined the framework of geometric analysis, and inspired generations of geometers with his pedagogical insights and pioneering approaches."
