John Pardon selected as a Ric Weiland Graduate Fellow in Humanities & Sciences

Congratulations to John Pardon who has been selected as a Ric Weiland Graduate Fellow in the Humanities & Sciences. Weiland Fellows receive grants for field work, conference travel, books, and other research needs. In addition, semiannual gatherings bring together Weiland-supported faculty and students across campus.

During his lifetime and with his nearly $60 million bequest to Stanford in 2006, Ric Weiland, one of the first five employees at Microsoft, endowed three professorships, established several graduate fellowships, and directed large unrestricted contributions to numerous schools and programs on campus.
