Congratulations to Gretchen Lantz, recipient of The Dean’s Award of Merit for 2018

Mathematics Department’s Gretchen Lantz, Student Services Manager, has been awarded the Dean’s Award of Merit. Lantz has been with the department since November 2009. Gretchen adds, "I'm very honored to have received this award. I thoroughly enjoy my work in student services because I learn something new every day and I value the opportunity to support students through their time at Stanford. I love working in the Math department because of our wonderful faculty, students, and staff. I've definitely found my place at Stanford."

The Dean’s Award of Merit originated in 1999 in an effort to acknowledge the important role staff play in the success of the School of Humanities and Sciences and the university as a whole. The award is given to staff who have made significant contributions during the previous calendar year, fostered productivity and creativity, and demonstrated stellar performance, among other criteria.

Lantz is one of four recipients of this year’s award.
