Two former members of the Stanford University Math Department have been awarded 2025 Packard Fellowships for Science and Engineering. This fellowship provides early-career scientists and engineers with $875,000 over five years to support their research. This notably flexible fellowship allows awardees to use funds as they see fit, completely unrestricted.
We would like to congratulate Charlotte Chan, class of 2012 Stanford Math undergraduate, and Maggie Miller, 2021-2023 Stanford Science Fellow and Clay Research Fellow, on their receipt of this award.
Charlotte Chan is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan. Maggie Miller is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas, Austin. You can find additional information about the fellowship and this year's recipients on the Packard Foundation website.
