McLean's "Birational Calabi-Yau manifolds have the same small quantum products"

I will discuss Mark McLean's recent paper proving that birational Calabi-Yau manifolds have isomorphic small quantum cohomology algebras using symplectic cohomology. This is remarkable work because it translates a hard question in algebraic geometry into a tractable problem in symplectic geometry. The talk will be focused on giving definitions and context.
