Abstract

First- and last-passage percolation are models in which weights are placed on the edges of a graph (usually Z^d), and where the objects of interest are the shortest (respectively longest) paths from the origin to various points on the graph. I'll describe both models and describe a few introductory results about their limit shapes, in particular following chapter 2 of the paper https://arxiv.org/pdf/1511.03262.pdf.
