Analytic regularity and quantitative unique continuation in periodic homogenization

 I will explain how one can find "analytic regularity" in periodic elliptic equations (in a sense to be explained) and use it to get optimal quantitative unique continuation results which stop just short of helping to better understand the spectrum. This is based on a recent joint work with Kuusi & Smart.
