Study Abroad for Math Courses

Math Majors who intend to take math courses when they participate in the Bing Overseas Studies Program (BOSP) and wish to count these credits toward the math major requirements need to do the following prior to going abroad.

  • Review the BOSP programs and courses. Most math courses in BOSP are taken at Oxford, for which a list of pre-approved equivalents can be found here.
  • Complete this webform to get approval on the equivalence of the BOSP program to Stanford Math courses before embarking on the program.
  • If not a pre-approved Oxford course, make sure to upload the syllabus into the webform. This should be a detailed document giving course content, and may list weekly topics covered, sections in a book or set of notes to be covered (in which case include the table of contents of the book). It should have enough detail for the Math department to evaluate the equivalence of the content with the course for which you will want credit approval later.)
