Professor Jacob Fox awarded 2016 Oberwolfach Prize for “excellent achievements in Discrete Mathematics”

Jacob Fox was awarded the Oberwolfach Prize 2016 for “excellent achievements in Discrete Mathematics.”

The Oberwolfach Prize 2016 is awarded by the Oberwolfach Foundation in cooperation with the Mathematisches Forschungsinstitut Oberwolfach to young mathematicians. It is restricted to mathematicians with Ph.D. or Dr. degree received not more than 10 years ago.

The prize is awarded approximately every three years for excellent achievements in changing fields of mathematics. For 2016, the field was Discrete Mathematics, which includes Logic and Theoretical Computer Science.
